Located just east of Greenwood Avenue on the Danforth is the Jump for Joy Play Centre and one of Felipa’s favourite play centres in the city!
We had exhausted our pass at Sprouts and wanted something new to try out, so off we went to Jump for Joy and let me tell you this place had it all!
If you are looking for somewhere to take your baby, toddler and child where imagination can run wild then this is the place. There is a massive obstacle course, ball pit and so many toys to help your little ones develop their social and motor skills. The areas are sectioned off so you will find an infant section for 6-14 month olds and then the front the of the space is for the older kids (15 months +) to run around and have a ball!

The location is easily accessible by TTC or car, with Green P Parking right in front of the space.
Stroller Accessibility: 5
There is stroller parking right in front of the building outside for you to park it. If you aren’t comfortable leaving your stroller on street level, then opt to baby wear or carry your child inside. There are cubbies located in the front reception for your bags, coats and shoes.
Environment: 5
The centre is incredibly kid friendly and family oriented. The owner, who I met on my first visit was lovely. She explained the premise behind the centre and took us on a tour of the facilities.
It doesn’t get too loud in the space, but I think this would be solely dependent on how many kids are present. The infant area and toddler/child area are separate so you don’t have to worry about your baby being trampled on by the bigger kids.
Amenities: 5
The amenities at Jump For Joy were fantastic! There are high chairs in the kitchen area, little tables and chairs for snack time and coffee/tea for mamas, papas and caregivers(for a $1 donation to the SickKids Foundation). The washrooms are large, clean and spacious. They have change tables and separate garbage bins for diapers.
Food and Drinks: N/A
This rating is not really applicable for this establishment. However, you can make a donation to SickKids Foundation of $1 for tea/coffee on site. Also, feel free to bring snacks for your kids (nut free of course), but leave any eating or drinking strictly to the kitchen area.
Price Point: 5
As most play centres, there are pay per play and pass options. I found this centre to be slightly below average for the cost—which is great if you are looking for a more cost effective play option without skimping on quality of play for your children.
You can expect to pay a Single Drop in fee of $10 & $8.50 for each additional sibling. A 6 visit play pass is $48 for one child and doesn’t expire. For an unlimited 30 day play pass you will be paying $110 for siblings or $75 for one child.
*children under 9 months pay $5 on their first visit, and are free if coming with a paid sibling
Overall Rating: 5
From the giant slide and ball pit, jumping castle to all the toys—we will definitely be back to the Jump for Joy Play Centre! The staff are incredibly warm and friendly, the kids absolutely love the imaginative play and the space and pricing are very appealing. We should also note that they offer birthday party packages and parent relief as well.
